We thought it might be fun to get a group together for a road trip to Indianapolis for a unique race.
The Santa Hustle is on Dec 16th in White River Park. They have a 5K race and a Half Marathon. Since several of you have just finished Marathons, you should be in shape for any length of race!! Every participant will receive a free Santa hat, beard, and customized Santa dri-fit shirt to wear while running. With outrageous holiday decorations, festive music, and a large after party! The organizers of this race are offering a discount to the Wabash River Runners club members if you sign up on the website. You do not have to be an active member of the club to get this discount as long as you sign up through our website (entry form here). Open the entry form, fill it out and print it. You can then hand the entry form & payment one of the race coordinators at the weekly runs or a club rep at the Race Against Hunger. The webmaster, Abby Engelberth, will be at the Race on Thanksgiving if you don’t see anyone else from the WRRC board there. The WRRC directors will collect the entry forms, them send them to the race organizers. I talked with the race director, Alex Sobal and he said you can go ahead and deduct the $5 discount when you sign up.
Let’s see how many we can get together for this race it should be loads of fun. If you want to join us please sign up by the end of Nov so we can send in the entry forms. If you want to drive down as a group, we will meet in the Meijer parking lot at 6:30 that morning and leave from there. Anyone that is interested in carpooling or driving please note this on the entry you hand in.
