Come celebrate the summer with the 9th annual Riverfest Water Drop 5K Run/Walk and 6th annual Water Droplet Kids Run benefiting the Wabash River Enhancement Corporation.  These events are part of Wabash Riverfest and will start near the Riehle Plaza in downtown Lafayette. Come out for the races and stay for the Wabash Riverfest activities following the events including many family friendly events and the canoe races on the Wabash River all day long.

Location/Parking:

Start for the 5K Run/Walk is located on the Wabash Heritage Trail, near the Amtrak loading dock on the trail. Walk on the pedestrian bridge down the ramp to the Amtrak loading dock.

The Kids Run check-in will be at Riehle Plaza and the runners will walk to the starting line together.

Free parking is available in the Wabash Landing parking garage on Tapawingo Drive behind the Hilton Garden Inn in West Lafayette.  Free parking is also available in downtown Lafayette in the parking garage on Columbia Block at 2nd street, and in the City of Lafayette parking garage located at 18 N. 5th St. Lafayette, IN 47901.

  • Friday, July 12th from 4-7pm

5K Run/Walk Early-Bird Registration:

  • $20 includes T-shirt
    • Ticket for one free beer at Beer Garden (must be 21+)
    • Closes June 28th, 2019.
  • $10 (running for sustainability, no shirt)
    • Ticket for one free beer at Beer Garden (must be 21+)

5K Run/Walk Race Day of Registration:        

  • $25 (T-shirt not guaranteed)
    • Ticket for one free beer at Beer Garden (must be 21+)
  • Registration and packet pick-up open from 7:15 – 7:45 a.m. at Riehle Plaza.

Kids Water Droplet Run:

  • Registration is FREE – Must be 12 or under (T-shirt NOT guaranteed after June 22nd, 2019).

Prizes:

5K Run/Walk prizes will be awarded to top 3 male/female overall runners, top male/female under 18, and top male/female over 65. All prizes will be awarded promptly 30 minutes after the first finisher. Results will be posted online.

Race Route:

2019 Riverfest 5k Route

The 5K Run/Walk Race route start at the Amtrak Loading Dock and then wind around the scenic Wabash River Heritage Trail.  The race will be a loop on paved surfaces along the banks of the Wabash River, finishing at Riehle Plaza.

The Kids Run will be held on Main Street in Downtown Lafayette.
